Mission 72 was our 8th mission to Albania.
The team, working with the Police e Mbrojtjes nga Zarri dhe per Shpetim (PMNZSH), provided the firefighters of the Malesi e Madhe Fire Service with training and familiarisation of their donated fire appliance. Training took place at Malesi e Madhe Fire Station in Koplik where the firefighters were trained in pump operations, firefighting, road traffic collision procedures, resuscitation, trauma and casualty care.
The team also met and liaised with the local Mayors and Fire Directors, discussing future projects and assistance.

Servicing and carrying out maintenance on donated fire pumps, liaising with the Mayors and Fire Directors of Shkoder, Vau Dejes and Koplik, discussing and pre-planning future assistance in Albania

Mission 67 was our 6th mission to Albania. The team, working with the Police e Mbrojtjes nga Zarri dhe per Shpetim (PMNZSH), provided the firefighters of the new Vau Dejes Fire Service with training and familiarisation of their first fire appliance.
Training took place at Shkoder Fire Station and in addition to the Vau Dejes personnel, firefighters from Shkoder and surrounding communes were trained in pump operations, firefighting, road traffic collision procedures, resuscitation, trauma and casualty care.
The team also met and liaised with the local Mayors and Fire Directors, discussing future projects and assistance.

Mission 63 was our 5th mission to Albania. The team, working with the Police e Mbrojtjes nga Zarri dhe per Shpetim (PMNZSH), provided the firefighters of Shkoder, in Northern Albania with training and familiarisation of their IFRA donated fire appliance.
Training took place at Shkoder Fire Station and in addition to the Shkoder personnel, firefighters from surrounding communes were trained in pump operations, firefighting, road traffic collision procedures, Chemical Incidents, resuscitation, trauma and casualty care.
The team also visited local schools and orphanages, providing teachers, Carers and children with fire safety advice and guidance.

The training mission was carried out by two instructors, Gary Johnstone (Scottish Fire & Rescue Service/Dundee Airport Fire & Rescue Service) and George Davies (Fife Fire & Rescue Service/Scottish Fire Service College Rtd). The training mission accompanied a substantial donation of surplus equipment which had been donated by IFRA and shipped to Albania. The mission was organised and funded in association with Adrian Nessel, Head of Security Cooperation Department OSCE Presence in Albania.
This was the fourth mission that IFRA completed within Albania. Previous locally organised missions and training activities occurred in Lushnja and Fier, between 2007 and 2009
This was the 3rd mission that IFRA completed within Albania. The team donated a Land Rover Discovery and associated rescue equipement to firefighters in the cities of Lushnje and Fier.

This was the 2nd mission that IFRA completed within Albania. The team delivered a Volvo Fire Appliance donated by Northumberland Fire Service to the cty of Lushnje and carried out training on the vehicle and other techniques.
