In partnership with NHS Fife, IFRA sent two containers of redundant hospital equipment such as beds, specialist patient-lifting cradles, maternity beds, hospital furniture, baby clothing, premature baby kits and medical equipment. The equipmewnt will help equip the National police Hospital in the city of Susan's Bay.
IFRA collected two Cobra cold cut Ultra high pressure firefighting units from the Aircraft carrier alliance Babcock at HM Dockyard Rosyth. These units were formerly used on the construction phase of HMS Queen Elizabeth and HMS Prince of Wales the Royal Navy's new Aircraft Carriers. IFRA are very grateful to Babcock for this amazing donation which will give an unprecedented firefighting ability to the services that receive these units.
A pallet of donated firefighting equipment and protective clothing is on its way to the Island of St Helena to help equip a Young Firefighters Scheme.
IFRA Chairman David Kay and Director Gary Johnstone travelled to Rosenbauer UK in Yorkshire, to collect a phenomenal donation of Thermal Imaging Cameras. These cameras will be sent abroad to numerous countries where they will assist in saving lives worldwide.
Today IFRA took delivery of our 99th vehicle to be sent overseas. Warrior Fire Rescue Service with Mike Ford and the team spent the afternoon adding kit and sorting out the documents before we deliver the Dennis named "Highland Warrior" to Tilbury ready for it's 6000 mile journey to start it's new life in Paraguay with the Junta Nacional de cuerpo de Bomberos voluntarios del Paraguay.
IFRA today sent of its 59th container worldwide. This container heading to Paraguay with Pumps, PPE, cutting equipment, Breathing Apparatus,Hose and even a Breathing Apparatus Compressor and First aid kit and Thermal Imaging camera. Working with our partners Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, Northumberland Fire and Rescue Service, County Durham Fire and Rescue Service, NHS Fife and our members loading this vital kit to save lives abroad and help the Junta Nacional De Cuerpo De Bomberos del Paraguay.
Our 98th vehicle, a former Scottish Fire Service College emergency tender was donated to the City of Victoria in Entre Rios Argentina. The vehicle was loaded with specialist rescue equipment and was donated in conjunction with the foundation, Bomberos Ayudemos A Servir San Luis.
